I have a mate who know's Richard Branson's street address, he used to pass it every day and was always tempted to pop a demo tape from his band through the letter box, but never did.
If you want tycoons to build typhoons, who are WWII aviation minded, why not try Mr Spielberg. Convince him there's a good movie in it, and he'd probably have a squadron built. Now, were there any notable American Typhoon pilots that would make a good flick?

Try starting a static one first. If you are still willing next stop will be a fllying example. The preservation community could do with a static example on public display (not counting the grp full size model in France).

It's a shame no one's been able to persuade the various parts' owners to pool their resources. There's probably enough out there to put at least one more largely original Tiffy back together.
Then again, given the cat herding exercises group projects often become....

The rear fuselage we have on display is for sale. It was supposedly sold but it hasn't moved an inch for months.
Personally I would like to see it go the UK and be used in a project. But then again who am I.:o

You will never see one fly as the engine has now been discredited despite successful development afterwards.

There was a Tempest with a Griffon, Mk.III (I think). Then there was the Tornado but that wasn't a Griffon....
