I find the recent media talk of new Zubrs to be strange, as the subject was not visited with much detail a few years back, when money was more available and relations with Ukraine better.

I think the priority is to get new engines and reduction gears to fix the Baltic Zubrs, which seems to be "grounded" as of late.
There is also one Zubr @ Feodisya, I posted photos of it recently, though I am unsure what shape it is in and if engines are the limiting factor in getting it back.

Sovershenny arrived @ Vladivostock, the first surface combatant the Pacific Fleet has received in decades.

Wish I could see the parade in Kronshdadt this year, looks glorious, with Dmitry Donskoy and Peter the Great on the way as well:

Chinese ships have arrived in the Baltic:

The parade there should be quite a sight this year, I hope they can fit the Chinese ships in.

On the way to the parade: the biggest tug, biggest cruiser, and biggest submarine in the world:

Gorshkov apparently deploying with the Ka-52K at some point recently.

And an image of the new project 21180 icebreaker leaving. You can see the Baltic Shipyard line up- Chernomyrdin in front, behind it the Academic Lomonosov, and looming behind that, the bridge of the Arkitka.

@TR1

Any idea from what sub it was? In one of the photos it looks like the cat was near a control station, a modern one.

Also, am I the only one who likes Project 20386? I've been watching Leo1s thread at SB.

Submarine cat:

why is it allowed to stay near controls even if the sub is just parked at port?

Who is going to tell the captain to get off his chair?

Sub is 636.6 I think, or earlier 887.

Yama, wow nice pics, too bad they are not higher res. Peter is a true floating fortress. Also, interesting to see the 14.5mm MG mounts all around the sides, don't recall seeing so many before.

Atomic Kitten! She has the launch codes!

Btw, that cat in the sub seem dangerous to you?

Check out this cat @ the Zaliv shipyard, back in 2013:

Gromky launched. Positively lightning pace compared to the first 20380 built there. Amur did used to be a very speedy shipyard, hopefully it regains some of this speed.

First two 636.6 subs laid down for the Pacific Fleet @ Admirality.

And the 7th 885 laid down @ Sevmash.

So, the Uragan is launched, and Pella officially is VMF's newest combat ship provider:

22800 are good, but from what I see, they are most likely going to be coastal and river based (European theatre) long range strikers.
What about radar panels on the mast? I thought they were getting it on the mast.

21631 with 16-cell VLS needs to be perused in addition to the 22800, to make numbers for that small yet effective strike assets for the navy, considering no ships of 11356 or 22350 class is going to come off the slip in decent numbers in the next 5 years.

That navy cat looks like a proper member of that sub, wonder how many dives she undertook till now. Btw, Russian's love for animals (particularly the cats) is unparalleled.
That curious factory cat was just cute.
