I have been told that I can't bid for it by the boss. Probably right, but......

Cheapest item would appear to be the Trabant, love the euphemism 'time warp condition'. Keep us informed about the Merlin result, probably an ex-BOAC engine.

Possibly an ex North Star/Argonaut, as was already said. Who knows, it might be ex Derby Airways! The 700 Series 'transport heads' are liked by P-51 racers, apparently. I remember seeing an ex-RCAF North Star on the tarmac at Peoria Airport in 1979. According to local sources, it had arrived in the night, with a blown engine, and the crew had run for it (possibly, it was heading south, for a shipment of 'illicit chemical substances').

Trouble is, I'd need TWO of these engines ! www.peoplesmosquito.org.uk bit.ly/TPMClub Cheers!
