-Cheapest item would appear to be the Trabant, love the euphemism 'time warp condition'. Keep us informed about the Merlin result, probably an ex-BOAC engine.

-Possibly an ex North Star/Argonaut, as was already said. Who knows, it might be ex Derby Airways! The 700 Series 'transport heads' are liked by P-51 racers, apparently. I remember seeing an ex-RCAF North Star on the tarmac at Peoria Airport in 1979. According to local sources, it had arrived in the night, with a blown engine, and the crew had run for it (possibly, it was heading south, for a shipment of 'illicit chemical substances').
Trouble is, I'd need TWO of these engines ! www.peoplesmosquito.org.uk bit.ly/TPMClub Cheers!
