Angles
I think that Su-27 and it's variants is the most beautiful from some angles, while in other angles it looks almost hideous. In post #17 above the third image shows a bad angle in my view, looking at the engines that way is like looking up the skirt of an old lady. On the other hand the fourth and last one really shows the stunning lines that is nicer than most other planes.
F-15 on the other hand is more average, neither beautiful nor ugly in any angle. But it has some brutal charm going for it.

The Flanker has some nice curves, but the F-15 has the looks of a classic fighter jet to me.
I don't like how the nose is bent downwards on the Flanker, though it looks very cool from some angles. Twin seater is even worse.
Hard to tell, but its the single seater F-15 for me. Raw, simple and effective looks. :)
As for the two seaters, has there ever been a twin-tandem seater that looked as good as it's single seater parent? Discount A/c that were built as a two seater, such as the Tonka.

The Eagle is a very beautiful design, rather than a classic i consider it a nice looking fighter
If the angle is right the F-15 is more beautiful than the Su-27, but with the wrong camuflage it looks hideous
Camuflage is like make up, it can make an ugly woman look more attactive or a beautiful woman a clown
here is the eagle looking good

I think it all depends upon , quality of photo , quality of the photographer to capture the moment and ofcourse the appeal of the design . The F-15E is perhaps the best looking F-15 version and its appeal is greatly enhanced by the camo . The Su-27 is a very brute design yet with enough elegance to carry off with nice angles although from some angles it looks rather too brute with not much finesse' . Some pics of the eagle -

Among the Eagles, the F-15E wins hands down. I love its looks when fully loaded - especially those bulky tanks make it look mean and purposeful. I wish Flankers carried some external bags - their constant absence makes them look a bit skinny.

I find the two-seater versions of both aircraft (Flanker and Eagle) to be more pleasing to the eyes.
In my opinion the SU-27/30 looks great from most angles. The F-15 looks great from a few angles.
The SU looks good in most monotone and camo colours. The F-15 looks good in dark monotone colours.
The external fuel tanks of the F-15 improve the looks.
Overall I prefer the shape of the Sukhoi (particularly the wings). I also find the F-14 to be more aesthetically pleasing than the F-15.

Why is it strange? On looks alone, the Flanker wins.
Possibly on performance too, but that's another thread.
As for the two seaters, has there ever been a twin-tandem seater that looked as good as it's single seater parent? Discount A/c that were built as a two seater, such as the Tonka.
I think the two seater Su 27 looks great.
Also I think F16D block 52+ with CFT looks better than the than the single seater. Also the two seater Typhoon isn't as ugly as the single seater.

The Su-27 (single seater)is perhaps the better looking of the two. Although I don't aprove of the poor surface quality of the Su-27, it looks as if it was built with a hammer.
The Su-35 has a more sinister look to it, but it is not as beautiful as the early variants.
The F-15 has a sharper look to it, at actually looks more smooth and agile.

Definately the Flanker. Especially on the ground, the F-15 looks too... vertical. Vertical stilts, vertical tails, vertical fuselage sides. Too boxy. The Flanker is nicely curved. And comes in great camo schemes, rather than boring shades of grey (Israel's F-15I excepted).

Which is exactly the case. But all the ones that were built for export after 2000 seemed to have much better surface finish. I am referring to everything from Chinese built J-11s to Irkut made MKIs and MKMs to Knaapo built Su-30MK2s for China, Vietnam and Venenzuela. They're built to look to satisfy a customer, not Cold War quotas.

I reckon the flanker series have the the whole sinister/evil look goin on, that drooped, hooded cobra look, and the fact that you know its a pure cold war killer makes it seem somewhat fearful.:dev2:
