With storage space tight and little or no flying due to Covid the HAAF engineering team have started sorting through their extensive spares holdings. The decision has been made to have a clear out of those spares that are not required to keep the HAAF fleet (Beaver, Scout, Sioux, Auster AOP 9 and Chipmunk) flying and I have taken on the task of saving them from the scrap bin.

There is quite a mix of stuff that could be available ranging from engines in bits or complete but U/S (ie possibly repairable but with no paperwork). Airframe components such as these Chipmunk bits in the photograph. Avionics (both Serviceable and U/S), NOS hoses (over 10 years old so no good for the flyers). Rotor heads and gearboxes (could possibly be serviceable but again no paperwork so U/S).

If you need ANYTHING for a Beaver, Scout, Sioux, Auster AOP 9, Chipmunk, Skeeter or Allouette PM me, the worst it can be is a reply of "Sorry non of those available" but if they are we can discuss terms.

Hello, would you by any chance have serviceable oil px gauge for a Chipmunk?

Ditto for the Oil Px gauge, but a U/S one would be perfect

Morning Aeronut2019 - another one struggling with PMs; I know that Newark Air Museum has been looking for a top canopy glazing for their Skeeter since 1981 and that any possible leads would be appreciated!

The Forum's PM system seems to be a little clunky and hopefully I've replied to those of you who sent a PM giving you my e-mail address.

The process of sorting out what we can dispose of is going to be a little lengthy, the engineering team are only in two days a week and we have nine airframes (2 x Scout, 2 x Sioux, Auster, Beaver, Chipmunk and Skeeter) to work on to keep or make airworthy.

Below is a photograph of a quarter of the boxes that have to be sorted through, parts counted before the decision is made to keep or dispose.

Please bear with us.

Hello, PM will not work. Interested in AOP9 Airframe.

If you can try to PM me it may work, and I will respond.

Turbulent Times, you expressed an interest in Auster AOP9 airframe. I don't know if its just parts or a complete aircraft you were after but our spare Auster airframe is available.

If anyone is interested please contact  https://haftech.co.uk/spares-for-sale/

A small collection of avionics, Auster AOP 9 magneto and Beaver flare pistol pocket all available for a donation to the HAAF chartable trust.
