-Nice work on a new topic for the forum.
I didn't know they operated the King Air...do you happen to know their uses for the two models? VIP airlift? Liaison?
Also, any recent (2011 or 2012) photos of the MiG-25 fleet? I remember the ones forming on the A340 in those photos posted either last year or the year before that seemed to confirm they are indeed operational.
Any thoughts as to the readiness of the Foxbat fleet?

The blue-grey examples could be Su-30MKR - tailor-made version with Thales recce suite - replacement of MiG-25RBSh of 515th Esc

Are you refering to the C90B/GTX ones ? Well they are categorized under "trainers" so i would guess multiengine trainers , but i'll ask around.

-It would have been nice to see those new Fulcrum SMT in desert camo. Contract disputes had to ruin it oh well.
By the way those Mig-23 still look like in good condition. If they could upgrade them with RD-33 engines and avionics upgrade, like a Bars-29 radar then that would make it a even better aircraft.

-Hello, the Mig-23BNs aren't operational yet, this pictures was taken in 2000, now the SU-24s are the exclusive bomber of the Algerian Air Force. It's also important to say that the Algerian is the last country in the world to use the interceptor variant of the mighty Foxbat

LOL why? so it could fly under powered and carry less while being more smokey at the same time? horrible idea.
the MiG-23's current engine has way more thrust.
Al-31 MiG-23's however are more doable and has been done on the 27

Well, previously you could find some pics in the Small Air Forces thread , but judging by the hundreds of pictures and information coming out lately , don't think Algerian Air Force can qualify as "small " anymore, hence this topic.:p
Relatively not publicized, but quite a little "hardy" air force. They got a first hand operational force (at least in the region) , Su-30MKAs, and MiG-29s 9.13 (at least one was seen in Belarus , probably for upgrade) as the main fighter force, they have a sizeable force of Su-24 attackers, while the mighty MiG-25PD still serves on.
Also they have an ongoing contract for 16 Yak-130 (and word is they might order 12-16 more).
To my knowledge all the older aircraft ( MiG-21, 23 etc. are retired).
Oh they also have air defence "goodies" like Pantsir-S1 and S-300PMU2 ( which have been repeatedly photographed from satellites-as of yet no photo of it was leaked)
According to Algerian fora (forcesdz.com) this is their inventory (it is not deffinitive, nor 100% accurate , as it does not rely on official sources, only on the research of Algerian aviation fans).
The numbers presumably include also aircraft under delivery or thought to be ordered ( personal observations in paranthesis) :
COMBAT AIRCAFT:
+12 MiG-25PD
+30 MiG-29 (34 according to Flightglobal, at least 43 thought to have been delivered over the years , possibly with as high as over 70)
+40 Su-24MK (thought to be upgraded to MK2 standard)
44 Su-30MKA (including 16 under delivery from the latest contract)
TANKERS:
6 Il-78 ( 5 according to Flightglobal)
SPECIAL MISSION:
3 MiG-25RB
4 Su-24MRK (no photo evidence yet)
2 Su-24MPK (no photo evidence yet)
6 Beech-1900 HISAR /MMSA
2 Beech-200T
+15 Seeker recce UAVs
10 Mirach-100 target towing UAVs
TRAINERS
2 MiG-25U
+40 L-39C/ZA
30? Yak-130 (presumably , this figures reflects the 16 under delivery, plus the extra 12-16 thought to be ordered , or in the process of)
+10 Beech-200
6 Beech C90B/GTX
+30 Zlin-142/Firnas-42
+25 Safir-43
