Great pics there mack8. Are those MiG 25 still operational currently?

Judging by the latest pictures ( showing freshly overhauled aircraft), and the 2011 participation in the Circaete exercices , they sure are.:)

All this pictures was taken after 2000, but this one was taken before 1994

martinez, it was a combo R-27T and R-27R in the other side with two R60M for dogfight, the idea was to launch both R-27 on the same target to have more hit chances

Thanks FULCRUM29.

Meenwhile, a pic of presumably one of the older Su-24MKs , which arrived before 1991. Note the square fences over the fixed wing holding APP-50 CMDS.

Hello FULCRUM, any chance you post a picture of this izd. 9.13 with visible both missiles under wings, the R-27T & R-27R combo is something unbelievable for those knowing the baseline 9.12A only...;)

thanks in advance

Martinez, this pictures was taken from the same documentary in 2002 but I can't say if it's the same Fulcrum, but I can confime that I already see with my own eyes such configuration on two Mig-29S here

Ok, thanks, anyway could it be that it was some kind of weapons load-out demonstration and not a real working config? Can you check that with someone working on Algerian Migs?

Oh you know the plane I'm talking about was one of the two alert Fulcrums, so it aws the real weapon load out ;)

Interesting, but sad there is not a photo backing that up, but I believe you. There were various upgrades of the 9.13 weapon system throughout the service life in the VVS, so in the end they could have been capable to fire missile combos, something once known with the Mig-23 as well(R-23R+R-23T). Is it possible to post a better detailed photo below in order to read that stenciled text underlined with red? thanks

I think that the same combo can be used on the Foxbats by using R-40T and R on the same time

Aparently the story of the fences is Su-24Ms had them initially ( they were rounded in shape) but then they were found too disruptive and removed.

Meenwhile , the export version had them too initially (in the shown form , squareish, with CMDS incorporated in them ), but then later they were removed aswell (i think the CMDS is on either side of tail above the engines in that case)

Nice videos.

How many Super Hinds are in service? How are they doing?

Officially we upgraded 33 Hinds, in reality 40, two crashed so we have 38 Super Hind, but actually 70% of the fleet is grounded for huge overhauls
