For users of Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS), there is a somewhat overwhelming number of payware add-on scenery options to choose from in the Marketplace, with over 1,450 products (and counting) available to purchase at the time of writing this review. The abundance of choice makes picking the location you wish to convert your hard earned money into some extra detailing within the world of MSFS trickier by the day but fear not, we’ve got a heck of a recommendation for you.
The majority of the scenery add-ons available are replacement airports and typically include modified runways and aprons, terminals, hangars and surrounding ground clutter to enrich the immersion factor when arriving or departing.
A select few add-on scenery developers go beyond airport coverage areas, enhancing whole regions and include multiple landing sites and bonus features that put them in a class of their own. This just so happens to be the case with NZA Simulations’ recently released Milford Sound Region, covering a whopping area of 2,950km² in the Fiordland National Park at the remote southern end of New Zealand’s South Island.
