Menzies grows cargo team with five new appointments

The new hires are set to expand and support the cargo division with operations

The global aviation and logistics specialists, Menzies Aviation has announced five new appointments – including three strategic hires – to strengthen its cargo team.

The newly created role of VP of cargo technology has been given to Rory Fidler, the former head of technology and innovation for the cargo division at Etihad Airways. Utilising his previous experience in designing and executing digital transformation programmes, Rory’s responsibilities will include driving forward digital innovation across Menzies operations.

Another addition is Colin Baldwin, who has been selected as the head of cargo, Africa. Situated in Johannesburg, Baldwin has over 30 years of industry experience, working for 20 of those years as SVP Cargo Africa for Swissport.

Joining Air Menzies International from United Airlines, Adam Cooper will assume the position of head of sales. He will be responsible for leading a team that will develop go-to-market strategies to support the growth of the US market.

The aviation company has also made two internal appointments; James Wong who will take on the role of VP cargo for the Americas region and Karl Aldwinckle, who will become the head of cargo operations at London Heathrow.
