-Cave launching bases? Quite real as far as the combined command is concerned. It's also a standard North Korean tactic to hide behind island's shadow and pop out at a close range.

But as we are now talking about North-korean navy, anyone happened to have any pics on the mysteriuos Soho class Catamaran frigate? I know it's propaply pointless even to ask but lets give it a change....

-Soho doesn't leave North Korean shore, most likely a bit afriad of being harrassed by a bunch of American, Japanese, Korean airplanes, against which it has no defense.

-It looks like a nase naval base too bad North Korea does not have any ships worth protecting. Anyone know what kind of Coastal Artillery North Korea uses? Maybe 170mm cannons??

-You know the little history on Koksan gun that they're somewhat based on old Russian 170mm coastal artillery? They used the ballistic chart of the gun and lengthened the barrel.

-What i've heard that the Koksan is more based on ex german 170mm captured by the soviets and later transformed to Norht Korea. Soviets didn't use the 170mm caliber....

-It may interest you people to know that the North Korean avy has the most amount of mini subs in the world, some hold only four people and are an expansion on the WWII British X craft design.

-how about the claims that someone made that They is a submarine (a mini one??) based on Yugoslavian Heroj class...this pops out in some occasions, thougth never when speaking of Yugoslavians, but in speaking of north koreans. Yugos had a nice class of UNA type midget subs too...
