Then I would say win some and lose some....Anyway, to me I will always cherish the days RAAF ( 3rd, 75th and 79 SQN) in Butterworth. At least life were noiser then.

Please refer to AFM November 1999, pg 69, SO Long... regarding Swiss Air Force Mirage IIIS..."...(referring to Mirage IIIS.....dogfight against the F-5 had been hard to win but with new canard, the odds improved...".

I do agree that - in more cases than not - in the case of similarly trained pilots flying F-5Es and Mirage IIIs, the F-5 pilot would come out on top in most situations, but you forget that RMAF are only WVR, whereas RAAF Mirage IIIOs were aremd with the 550D (not a great missile, but it was a distinct advantage).
