You want to compare an in-service radar to a soon-to-be-defunct radar. When the last of the F-14s are scrapped in a few months, there will be no more APG-71. Raytheon has removed it from their product lists and tooling has been scrapped. The only APG-71 parts available are those in US Navy warehouses. Sorry, but there is nothing to compare.

I asked the question from a purely technical point of view. I am not a flamer. So the fact that one radar has been taken out of service does affect the nature of the inquiry.
