-The R22 and R44 are marginal as it is here in Australia in hot climates....
I doubt they would be any use in the desserts of Iraq etc..

The Robinson R66 might be a more interesting solution for the hot climates in the M.E.

Did anyone see the Robinson R22 & R44 on Modern Marvels? It would be interesting to see what they can do with these helicopters. They cost a fraction to build and operate compared to comparable Bell models. Could be an excellent helicopter in Iraq. Simple. Can't be that difficult to harden the V6 motor against sand ingestion! Police versions have integrated secured communications and FLIR.
