Robinson R44 Light Police Helicopter

Did anyone see the Robinson R22 & R44 on Modern Marvels? It would be interesting to see what they can do with these helicopters. They cost a fraction to build and operate compared to comparable Bell models. Could be an excellent helicopter in Iraq. Simple. Can't be that difficult to harden the V6 motor against sand ingestion! Police versions have integrated secured communications and FLIR.

The R22 and R44 are marginal as it is here in Australia in hot climates....
I doubt they would be any use in the desserts of Iraq etc..

Think a Schweizer 333/434 would be more interesting. A/C, more electrical power available, modern integrated cockpit option, three abreast (which is cute :D ), ...

I think the most obvious question would be the one one gets to hear when looking at a new Ferrari:

Can you do *it* there?
