You may have found this link Aerial Visuals - Airframe Dossier - Douglas C-117D, s/n 12437 USN, c/n 09620, c/r N44GH {1}
The last reference in that link show it seen at Roanoke regional airport, Texas
Google Maps certainly shows an C-117 parked there, so that may be your airframe

All the sign are the C-130 was reduced to spares at AMARC Davis-Monthan 'boneyard'

Plane base shows 12437 last noted Roanoke 2019 (obviously not many people been spotting in the states since then), 149790 was sold for scrap at Tucson 2008.

Many thanks for the info/fate of these two aircraft.
Here are a couple of photos I have, when they were based at RAF West Malling back in the early to mid 1960s.

Does anyone have any information on the current state, or whereabouts of C47 (C-117D) 12437. Last known registration was N44GH. Does this aircraft still exist?
Also the same question for C130 Hercules 149790. Both these aircraft were based in the UK (Early to mid 1960s) at RAF West Malling Kent, with the US Navy.
