About 40 years ago I bought a job lot of (non-aircraft) tools at an auction. Amongst them was the 3/8" drive torque adaptor shown in the attached photo. It has been in one of my tool boxes ever since.

The bottom line of writing says "F84F" you should be able to see all the other wording on the photo.

Does the F84F mean that the adaptor was part of  a specific tool kit for the F84f Thunderstreak or is it just a co-incidence?

I would say yes, as it says wing splice on it, it will either be an extension for a ratchet head or a torque wrench.

I know that it is definatly an aircraft torque adaptor for tightening wing splice bolts. I was hoping that someone would be able to confirm that the F84F marking means that it is specifically intended for use on a F84F Thunderstreak.
