Evening,

I picked up this piece on my travels - pretty sure it is HP Hampden with the HP inspectors mark and the part number commencing with 52.

However, can anyone identify what the part actually is please?

Many thanks
TEC

5228D is an undercarriage upper radius arm side plate.

Cheers Hampden Project. Do I assume that the linkage type parts are perhaps related to an undercarriage lock?

Yes, undercarriage lock, the mechanism is at the top of the upper radius arm where it attaches to the airframe, it is on the inside face of the arm.
