Here's a 'then' photo of a Dutch airbase in the '40's. It's still operational.
Anybody know it?

My immediate guess would be Schiphol, but I could be wrong.

Can't be Valkenburg if it's still operational. Flying ceased at Valkenburg in 2006 and the site is now marked for redevelopment.

Here's a nice 'then and now': 100 years of Schiphol distilled into one video

Another hint.
It will become an F35 base.
Knowing the amount the Dutch will be buying I'd imagine just one base being for them..

See this thread for more pics of the 1945 Eiffel Tower Exposition...note that some aircraft had false serial numbers and markings to represent famous examples

Thanks, Wyverfan.

T-21, many thanks - I hoped someone might be able to identify it. Here is another (poor quality) picture of Paris - a B-26 (?) this time with a few others in the shot from the viewing platform.

Here's a nice colour shot of the B-17 Flying Fortress of the 94th Bomb Group exhibited under the Eiffel Tower, Paris 1945.

The hint helped a lot, it's Volkel Air Base.
