We'd be glad to see the photos, please, and to know what the placards (writing?) said; sounds fascinating. Somebody here will know the answer.

Some years ago I found the remains of an allied aircraft beside a garage at a road junction a few miles from Chania. It was probably a twin engined aircraft as the cockpit ( which appeared to have two seats , one behind the other) looked similar to a Beaufort in design of the frame itself, including an extended frame in front which probably contained perspex. The single tail was intact and similar in shape to a Beaufort and had its original green paint on but no brown. I will try and dig out some photos but the origins of this aircraft have baffled me for years so perhaps a member can shed some light here? By the way, the reason I know its allied is the writing on certain metal plates inside the cockpit. I am also wondering if perhaps there where two aircraft left here? The site was cleared about 3 years ago.
