Hi,
I was just wondering which airline(s) you think have the best Cabin Crew uniform (past and present)?
Personnaly I think Thomas Cook Airlines UK has one of the best around (and thats not a bias opinion :D):

1) Thomas Cook Airlines UK (second in from the right):

Of all the airlines I have flown, all the crew's uniforms have been very smart. British Airways is "average" in my opinion, as with United.

But Thai ;) is great. The Cabin Crew uniform for men consists of dark trousers and a grey jacket with gold, metal buttons. This looks a bit cheap and nasty compared to what the women wear. Traditional Thai dresses, decorated with coloured scarves etc. They change into something more comfortable on long haul flights.

I always liked Lauda's one.Not all that smart but very practical for the crew.

Thomas Cooks is very stylish and up to dateand I definately the best of the Charters , but I do like BAs uniform ,I think possibly that they keep it, as it is so well recognised the world over?
I dont like the VS uniform even though I like bright colours myself!

Yeah i agree with you there Michael, i think that Thai airways have nice uniforms too and they're like the traditional thai outfits, which i have just had made for me for a festival in November. NTW

I know this thread is orientated at cabin crew uniforms bur the 2nd BA picture shows a BA franchise flight deck uniform rather than a BA uniform.

Personally I really like BA's current uniform, much better than the deck chair they used to wear!
I wore 3 different cabin crew uniforms when I worked for Virgin but only really liked the one we wore from 91-97.
I'm one of very few people who really don't like the current Tommy Cook uniform. I don't like the girls waistcoats and particularly don't think hosties in trousers suits the image. I definitely think Monarch clean up when it comes to girls and their uniforms.

regards
wys

PS is it just me or do easyJet cabin crew all look like scruffy council labourers in that uniform?

Don't know about the best (although I think most of the IT uniforms are a bit too formal for leisure operators), but my vote for worst has to be Air 2000 - that hideous pink/fuchsia doesn't work for me.

Actually, Hooters Air Flight Attendants actually wear a more conventional uniform (navy blue trousers, white shirt etc...). You can see one in the background with her back to the camera. The woman in the picture is in fact a Hooters waitress from one of the Myrtle Beach resturants (I think there are three of them). The waitresses do a rotation on the aircraft for a few weeks a year and then go back to working in the resturant. They are not certified by the FAA to conduct emergency & evactuation procedures and are basically 'waitresses in the air.'

Hooters is representative of their resteraunts, but has the potential to become a political mine field in regards to sexism laws.

Personally I like the Australian Airlaines uniforms:
