-I´ve been photographing old abonded aircraft on airfields around the world. Most of them are taken through the window of a moveing aircraft, and are of questionable quality, but at least I have a picture of some of the relics that litter the aprons around the world.
To start of, last March I took this picture of Douglas DC-7C EC-BSQ that was standing at Las Palmas airport and had been there for years. It has now been scrapped.

-These two shots are of the scrapyard on the western side of Addis Ababa in the autumn of 2007.
Again, these are shot through the dirty sidewindows of a moving aircraft, so are not really clear.
Unfortunately, I´ve not been able to get close enough to the eastern scrapyard at Addis. They have some interesting stuff there, DO-28 (several) DC-3/C-47s and load of other stuff.

-Here is a photo I took nearly a year ago. Two rarities together on the military side of Brazzaville. I was not able to get any closer, and was operating my little point and shoot camera at maximum range. Hence the not so clear picture. Sitting there is what I believe is the last complete Canadair CL44 and an AN-8

-Looks like Canadair CL44, if so; it should be recovered.
I read on wikipedia that the Ecuadorian Air Force has salvaged one for later display in a museum, but I don't know any more about it.
You get around quite alot don't you

Yes a little bit;)
In February last year, I took this photo in N´Djamena, Chad. Two DC-6´s and two C-47´s. Only one of the C-47 is visible from this angle.

Seems almost like its worth recovering.

-Lovely Meteor shot. I always liked the look of the meteors with the many windows in the canopy.

This one I have posted before. Replica Spit at Wellesbourne Mountford - was a static in the BoB film - I'm sure someone can confirm that?
Another from Staverton - not a good pic this time, I think it's another Meteor

I recently posted a few pictures of abandoned aircraft in order to identify them. That post gave me the idea for a thread devoted to pictures of abandoned aircraft.
It fascinates me, that people can completely discard material that once represented a considerable value. Naturally there are often financial, or technical, reasons for such abandonment, but sometimes it just seems like the owner said "Thats it; I have had enough".
If there is a need to discuss individual aircraft in detail (besides identification and basic questions), I think we should do so in a separate, so this thread can remain focused on the images.
Lets keep it to historic aircraft and try not to get too many DC3's
If possible, please add any known information.
