-There is apparently a photograph of the RAF pilot who shot the Dornier down.

I was out at a metal detecting rally at the weekend at Cricks Farm, Pebmarsh, near Halstead in Essex.
CO9 2NP
I didn't find out until I got back, that a German bomber had crashed on the farm during WWII.
The bulk of the wreck was recovered at the time, but a few fragments were found at the weekend.
I'd be interested to know any details of the bomber which came down. I'm told that the pilot was the
only survivor.
Edit: Possibly this Dornier 217 ? :http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/ww2peopleswar/stories/22/a3935522.shtml
