If anyone can help, I cannot make out the location described on the back, and possibly the squadron involved.
Clearly Geoff is not a pilot.
Kind Regards Mike

RAF Manby?
A visiting fighter to the No1 Air Armament School perhaps?

Thanks Gentlemen.
I had never heard of RAF Manby, but that would possibly explain his interest in the armament.
As for the 85 sqn connection , clearly I need to study harder .

Kind Regards Mike

85 Sqn used the code letters NO and they had Hurricanes at the time in question .

NO were 85 Squadron's prewar codes changing to VY in September 1939. In Jan 1939 85 squadron were based at Debden.
