-BS381c No.538 is the colour spec. PEXA supply Akzo-Nobel paint (Aerodex, Aeroflex, Aerodur) to us at DX, but any auto paint supplier such as Movac or Morelli can mix to the spec and in the finish and paint type (ie 2K or cellulose).

-Or if all else fails, make up your own numbers.

-Anon the roundel blue is easier to get than the red.
Most car paint mixing shops will be able to mix up the relevant colours.
if there is a problem - there is a specialist near you in Merseyside that I have used for the more difficult ones.

As Roobarb says the BS381c colours are correct. Google BS381c colour chart
Roundel Blue is BS381C 110

-Paint info.
Thanks for the information chaps,
That specialist supplier is just what I need, Brian - and it's very conveniently located too.
We're approaching the stage of applying the markings on our Gloster Meteor. She's all silver with the bright national markings - a superb and eye-catching combination.
I will be posting a few pics on the Meteor restoration update thread soon.
Thanks again.

-Asked?
Jon,
Good God man!
Is there anybody or anything left that you DON'T know:D
You were spraying black paint at Newark. Surely that wasn't a custom shade was it (RN Night - or should that be Midnight Black)?
Thanks anyway.

Can anybody recommend a source of supply for red and blue roundel paint (post-war bright) please?
If anyone has the BS and/or the FS paint numbers, that would be useful too.
Thanks in advance,
Anon.
