As the USAF seeks to free up funding for various modernisation programmes, the air arm has revealed its desire to divest a staggering 310 aircraft from operational service – including 32 Lockheed Martin F-22A Block 20 Raptor fifth-generation air superiority fighters – as part of its Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) budget request.
