USAF B-2As conclude Bomber Task Force deployment to Iceland

Three B-2A Sprit stealth bombers from the USAF’s 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman AFB, Missouri, landed at NAS Keflavik in Iceland on August 13 to begin a month-long Bomber Task Force-Europe (BTF-E) deployment.

The three B-2As (82-1070/WM ‘Spirit of Ohio’, 88-0331/WM ‘Spirit of South Carolina’ and 90-0040/WM ‘Spirit of Alaska’) – supported by some 150 support personnel – arrived at Keflavik for BTF-E 23-4, marking the type’s first overseas deployment since it resumed operations after the six-month safety pause on the fleet was lifted in May.
