Developed by RealSimGear, the Take Command! DA40NG features a detailed 3D model and textures inside and out, study-level systems and flight dynamics tested by real-world pilots.

The electrical system is fully modelled from the batteries and circuit breakers to the essential bus switch, a unique feature of DA40. Moreover, the fuel system and FADEC-controlled engine are simulated in detail, including the dual-redundant EECUs (Electronic Engine Control Unit) and cooling system for the engine and cabin heat exchanger. An illustrated live diagram shows how each system interacts with the aircraft.

The handcrafted 3D model is designed to take full advantage of X-Plane 12's new rendering model. A custom FMOD sound pack includes audio effects for the various subcomponents, from the turbochargers and propellers to individual switches and pumps.

The DA40 also sports a modified implementation of the X-Plane G1000 with custom engine gauges, system status information and warning/caution annunciators. The backup gauges are also simulated with either a standard round-gauge assortment (airspeed indicator, attitude indicator and altimeter) or an MD302-styled backup gauge.

This aircraft is available on the X-Aviation online store for $54.95
