Verticalsim has announced that KPVU - Provo Municipal Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) is now available.
Located in the US state of Utah, Provo Municipal features a challenging and scenic circle-to-land RNAV approach into Runway 13. It is a base for Allegiant Air, which operates A320s and is a popular destination for general aviation aircraft.
The scenery for MSFS is based on a 2023 layout with authentic airport buildings, including the new terminal with interior modelling and animated passengers. It also sports two spawnable hangars with detailed interiors and flying schools.
The package sports high-definition textures with full-scale PBR (Physically Based Rendering) mapping, custom 0.5cm orthoimages, along with parallax and & LOD (Level of Detail) for minimal performance loss.
Other highlights include a detailed landside area with cars and streetlights, authentic night lighting, vehicle routing, ATC and custom taxiway signs.
The surrounding area is also modelled with the nearby storage facilities and a small harbour on the approach to Runway 13.
Provo Municipal Airport is available on the Verticalsim website for $14.99 (approx £12).
