Other highlights include accurate airport buildings with basic terminal interiors and a detailed landside area with 3D passengers and signage. It also sports various animations such as jetways with custom sounds, an animated train and dynamic airport lighting. The airport also features clutter on the apron, such as service equipment and static aircraft.

Built in 1967, the actual airport serves Sacramento in California, providing a gateway to popular attractions like Yosemite National Park and Lake Tahoe. It is primarily serviced by Southwest Airlines, which operates flights to destinations such as Burbank, Phoenix Sky-Harbor and Santa Barbara. Other major carriers, including American Airlines, Delta, United and Alaska Airlines also operate routes to the airport.
