New owner sought for two-seat Mustang

North American TF-51 Mustang 44-63865 Tempus Fugit has been listed for sale in South Carolina.

The 1944-built, dual control fighter is on the American civil register as N151TF.   

Delivered to the USAAF on December 8, 1944, it arrived in England in early 1945, and was assigned to the 9th Air Force.

It subsequently served with both the Swedish Air Force and Nicaraguan Air Force before returning to the US where it underwent a full restoration, and conversion to TF-51 status.  

With all work completed in 2006, it was painted in 9th Air Force, 31st Fighter Group, 308th Fighter Squadron markings. The asking price is currently $4.2 million (£3.43m).
