Microsoft Flight Simulator Partnership Series: Text-to-Speech Engine

In the latest Partnership Series, Asobo Studio introduced the developers of the Text-to-Speech engine.

Text-to-Speech is used for communication between Air Traffic Control and virtual pilots. The aim is to make the speech more natural and less robotic as well as increasing the variety of voices and dialects using Azure AI.

Additionally, the release of World Update V: Nordics is planned to release in June 2021. Update V will include Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.

It will include several hand-crafted airports, including Arlanda (ESSA), Bornholm (EKRN), Ísafjörður (BISS), Svalbard (ENSB) and Vasa (EFVA) Finland. There will also be some reworked cities but they haven’t been announced yet.
