Korean F-16 Modernisation

In late November the US Air Force awarded Lockheed Martin a $1.2 billion foreign military sales contract to upgrade 134 Republic of Korea Air Force (RoKAF) F-16s. The upgrades are based on the advanced F-16V configuration and include the Northrop Grumman APG-83 Scalable Agile Beam Radar, an active electronically scanned array radar unit, a modern avionics subsystem, a 6 x 8-inch (152 x 203mm) high-resolution colour display referred to as the Center Pedestal Display showing radar, targeting pod, colour moving map and flight instrument data and a 1Gb ethernet data bus with the high-speed input and output bandwidth.
