As part of a series of pre-induction tests that ran through to October 3, India’s indigenous Bharat Dynamics Astra beyond visual range air-to-air missile was successfully test-fired by an Indian Air Force Sukhoi Su- 30MKI against a manoeuvring target on September 26. Induction into Bhāratīya Vāyu Senā (Indian Air Force) service is planned for 2019.
