Heatblur and IndiaFoxtEcho’s F-14 Tomcat review

Launch Alert 5

Come on, admit it, who hasn't imagined themselves playing Tom Cruise in Top Gun, with the chance to fly in a real F-14 Tomcat? I imagine it would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It would also (perhaps) be punctuated with a great deal of retching into a little bag while at the same time, wondering why you wanted to do it in the first place.

The Grumman F-14 Tomcat

This paragraph is for the only person who doesn't know what an F-14 Tomcat is... there must be one.

The Tomcat is a twin-engine, variable-sweep wing fighter developed by Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation. Delivered to the United States Navy in 1974, it replaced the ageing F-4 Phantom and quickly became the US Navy's primary maritime air superiority fighter, fleet defence interceptor and tactical aerial reconnaissance platform until 2006. It was then retired from service to be replaced by the Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.
