The Middle Eastern titan has increased its capacity from the Essex airport
Emirates has doubled up its Stansted offering, reintroducing its double daily service to Dubai from May 1, 2023.
EK067 will depart Dubai at 1415hrs local time, arriving into Stansted at 1845hrs, whilst EK068 will depart Stansted for the return leg to Dubai at 2110hrs, arriving into the UAE at 0710hrs the following morning.
The reintroduction of EK067 and EK068 means Stansted will serve Dubai with both daytime and evening departures and will give passengers flexibility in connecting on to wider Emirates services.
Richard Jewsbury, Emirates Divisional Vice President in the UK, said: “Scaling up and offering an additional flight to our third London gateway will offer our Southeast-based customers greater choice. We’re also looking forward to supporting local businesses, as the belly hold cargo capabilities will significantly increase for the area, including the growing pharma industry in Cambridge. Gareth Powell, London Stansted’s Managing Director, added: “The return of Emirates’ second daily flight from London Stansted to Dubai is great news for passengers and a real boost for the airport, London and the East of England. This doubling of flights is a clear demonstration of the airline's confidence in Stansted and reflects the significant demand for long-haul services that exits across the region.”
The new flights will be operated by Emirates’ three-class Boeing 777-300ERs, and passengers on the reintroduced EK068 Stansted-Dubai leg on May 1st were presented with merchandise from the airline to celebrate the occasion.
