Deadstick Bush Flight Simulator

American actor and filmmaker, Orson Welles once said: “There are only two emotions in a plane: boredom and terror.”

This almost describes what Deadstick Bush Flight Simulator is all about, minimising the boredom some experience with flight simulators and throwing in a bit of terror (maybe not that extreme). Deadstick Bush Flight Simulator is currently in development and nearing early access release. So I sat down with Chris Cheetham, the managing director of REMEX Software, to get an update on the progress the team is making with the platform and explore the features the new simulator has to offer.

The origins of the Deadstick lay in a tool which Chris made to help game developers add flight dynamics to their games: “I never expected it to sell because flight sims are fairly niche,” he commented. After a few weeks he “received a notification one morning saying it had been approved and I went on to the store page and found out that it sold 12 copies, which really surprised me because I didn’t think it’d ever sell that many in its lifetime.” Much to his surprise, “the tool kit went on the sell several thousand copies, which was amazing.” Following the release of the software, Chris was contacted by a r…
