Cost overruns on its project to provide the USAF with two new presidential transports have caused Boeing to declare an additional $482m loss on the programme, bringing the firm’s total loss on the project to $2.4bn. The firm had previously taken a $1.45bn loss on the jets in 2022 and $318m in 2021. The latest write-off brings the company’s total loss on the programme to more than $2.4bn.
