Asian air force to make Exercise Cobra Warrior debut

It has been confirmed that the next Exercise Cobra Warrior – which is scheduled to take place in March – will feature the Indian Air Force for the first time.

A UK government press release about a British defence delegation attending the Aero India airshow stated: “The Royal Air Force (RAF) looks forward to welcoming the Indian Air Force (IAF) to the UK for Exercise Cobra Warrior next month. This will be the first time that the IAF would be participating in the multilateral air combat exercise, which will see participation of air forces from 17 nations.”

It is doubtful that there will be aircraft from 17 nations involved in Cobra Warrior, with the number most likely including observers and other personnel from air forces.
