Argentina sells Pampa III to the Guatemalan Air Force

An agreement was signed between the Argentine and Guatemalan Defence Ministers, Oscar Aguad and General Miguel Ralda and the president of Argentine plane-maker FAdeA (Fábrica Argentina de Aviones), Antonio Beltramone, for the sale of two Pampa III jet trainers to the Fuerza Aérea Guatemalteca (FAG/ Guatemalan Air Force) on June 3, 2019. The deal, valued at $28 million includes technical support and training, the latter to be conducted by the Fuerza Aérea Argentina (FAA/Argentine Air Force) at VI Brigada Aérea, Tandil Military Air Base, where the first two operational Pampa IIIs currently serve with the FAA.

The two Guatemalan aircraft comprise the Pampa III demonstrator and one jet currently in production for the FAA which was expecting to receive three this year, one will now be delivered in 2020.
