Skydesigners has released KNQX NAS Key West Airport v2 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Located in the Florida Keys, Naval Air Station Key West is home to the Fighter Composite Squadron 111 operating F-5N Tigers and Strike Fighter Squadron 106 F/A-18 Super Hornets.
The scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator depicts NAS Key West between 2005 and 2010. It features an accurate airport layout, including the aprons and taxiways with weathering effects, accurately modelled buildings and vegetation with photorealistic textures.
Other details include custom vehicles and static aircraft, including F/A-18 Hornets, F-5 Tigers, E-2C Hawkeyes, Gulfstream G-159s, SH-60 SeaHawks and HH-60 Jayhawks with accurate registrations and bureau numbers.
The package also sports custom night lighting, corrected runway lights, and various objects on the apron, such as US Navy personnel, service vehicles and ground clutter.
Both NAS Key West North heliport and US Coast Guard Station Key West are modelled with dedicated LZ and civilian landing zones around Key West for civilian and military operations.
