Boeing’s primary World War Two trainer
Training aircraft have to meet certain expectations. They must have docile handling and simple controls, yet still be able to teach a pilot everything they need to know about train for the future. Indeed, training aircraft are often described as being akin to the humble washing machine. That said, there are often training aircraft that do everything asked of them but remain something of a 'wolf in sheep's clothing'. For example, I learned to fly in the humble de Havilland Chipmunk.
