Behind the scenes of Aeroplane's Battle of Britain film day

In the December 1999 issue of Aeroplane Monthly, Tony Harmsworth reports on a reader event at Duxford which was a memorable celebration of the 30th anniversary of the famous film’s launch in 1969

“Don’t fret so, we’re not making a sequel, we’re putting on a celebration.” “It’s not an airshow, we’ll be indoors, you don’t have to worry so much about the weather” Just a brief sample of the kind of (printable) comments thrown in the direction of the Assistant Editor, who got a bit carried away with the idea on the final few days before the Aeroplane Battle of Britain film 30th anniversary celebration, on September 19.
