CAPITÁN PABLO MARCOS CARBALLO of Grupo 5 de Caza of the Fuerza Aérea Argentina was an experienced attack pilot with over 1,800 hours in the Skyhawk and a flight leader during the Falklands conflict. In 1991 he was a Major flying Mirages with Grupo 6 de Caza at Tandil.
Carballo's first notice of the Argentine landings near Port Stanley was in the early hours of April 2, 1982, while at Villa Reynolds, home of Grupo 5 de Caza, and gives his first-hand account of some of the events he lived up to June 14, 1982.
