MKK2 prototype.
Interesting that the red engine blanking plate reads 'UBK-09' - yet when I photographed it a day later it had blanking plates that read 'MKK2'...........................

-excellent find huitong!
wow, a PLAAF (PLANAF) MKK with R77s sitting right next to it! guess this is almost as good as seeing a PLAAF flanker with R77s strapped on. a very important find indeed!

-Flanker:
lol, i also got a pair of pics of the same flanker with different intake covers. this pic was actually the one which convinced me that the plane was the MKK2 instead of an MKK.

-Looking For
(Possibly my "dumb question of the week".)
In screen shots of the computer game Battlefield 2, which
came out on 2005.06.21, such as
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/battlefield2/screens.html?page=203
the Chinese Su-30MKK/MK2 has the nose number 03.
Does anyone here know the details of the real PLAAF or PLAN Su-30MKK/MK2 that has this nose number?
Such as unit, military district, home base, &c?

Could someone let me know what type of store is strapped to the centerline pylon? Is it a cruise missile or an external fuel tank? Thanks!
